What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students under age 18 and their parent(s) meet with the instructor/tutor for a consultation to ascertain the student's needs. Students age 18 or older meet privately with the instructor/tutor.
If ESL/English lessons are what you need, you (the student) will receive a free proficiency test. That helps your instructor/tutor to know at which level to begin your English lessons.
The typical meeting place will be your local public library (see note below) or other public venue for your initial consultation. You will talk with your instructor/tutor to determine how many days per week and how many hours per day you think you will need. You will also agree on an initial length of your contract, for example 2 weeks, 1 month, etc.
NOTE: In the world of COVID-19, we now offer outdoor initial consultations and outdoor tutoring sessions (as well as online). Take advantage of the beautiful Southern California weather and meet with us today!
