Moriah Barker Reading

Hello! My name is Moriah Barker, i’m a 21 year old student attending college at the University of California Santa Barbara to earn my bachelors degree in communications. I currently have my associates degree in social and behavioral sciences from Sacramento City College. I’ve worked managerial jobs in food service for about four years and one of my favorite parts about it is being able to train and assist others. I deeply enjoy helping others succeed and excel in a way that best suits them and tutoring gives me the opportunity to do that. Reading and writing is a big hobby of mine and I would love to help others find ease and enjoyment in it as well. I’m very attentive to those around me and believe the best way to be a teacher is to listen and be able to adapt to the students’ needs. As a communications major, reading and writing is a huge part of my academic career and there is always room to grow. I’d love to help others thrive, whether it is academically or just to feel better about their own personal skills.
