About
Hi! I am a highschool student who speaks fluent French and Spanish! I have been speaking Spanish since I was a child, and I lived in Paris for over a year, so I have experience both in classroom and in the world. I love learning languages and if I could help students find their passion for languages, it would mean the world to me. I have won many French and Spanish awards in my school, and I am happy to help anyone who needs it!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I like to take a look at their background in the language, whether or not they have previous experience in a class or exposure in the world, as this can change how I teach the student. I find that understanding grammar consepts is the most important in learning a new language, added with reading and listening to insure a clear understanding of what is correct and incorrect when using the language.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As I am in high school right now I know how hard classes can be for children, and I know exactly what teachers are looking for in homework, projects, and tests. I can specifically work with the student as both a peer and a tutor to help both learn the language and create an understanding that will prepare them for classwork and tests.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching by tutoring other kids in my French and Spanish classes who needed extra help, and from there I have started to work with kids of all ages online, as well as adults.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with both beginner and advanced students. I have also worked with native speakers who are struggling in the classroom, as they do not understand why grammar consepts work the way they do. I can work with a variety of students who need help with their work.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
When I lived in Paris I helped teach a little girl who had moved there from Spain how to speak French. She was 8 years old, and working with her was one of the best experiences of my life.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would look for someone who you can relate to and can enjoy your tutoring sessions with, as working with a tutor who you do not like makes it harder to learn the content. Have fun while you learn!
