I have a long standing record both as a tutor and a teacher in successfully working with struggling students.

I am very patient and understand the frustrations of Math.

I always make sure to thoroughly explain each step of the algorithms of math concepts, but I also have a few shortcuts that work with my students to help with comprehension and memory.

My goal is to help my students eventually be confident and independent enough to not need my help anymore. There is no greater joy than seeing them develop into independent learners who believe in themselves and their ability to tackle their next exam or quiz because the "mysteries of math" have been revealed! No crutches, no mental blocks.
