Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student is to find out my student's specific learning needs and then cater a personalized experience to help my student best succeed with his or her goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics and my Master's in Education from UCLA. I have eight years of experience student teaching, tutoring, and in-classroom teaching in all subject areas K-12.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard prices vary depending on client location and subject area needed.
How did you get started teaching?
I fell in love with Calculus during my senior year of high school because of the enthusiasm and encouragement of two very important teachers: Mr. Hull and Mrs. Ringgold. Seeing their passion for teaching, I was inspired to become a math teacher and entered into UCLA with the purpose of becoming an innovative educator who sparked the same love of Math in my students.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a large variety of students as young as pre-K all the way to adult students. The students I've had come from different socioeconomic backgrounds, live all over Los Angeles, and have unique learning needs that I have made sure to address with my personalized teaching.
