I am someone who had to learn a second language (English) from nothing. My family moved to America when I was still in school and i didnt speak a word of English, I was able to learn it perfectly by being in the environment and am now fluent. However, I never had a private tutor and for the first years I struggled immensily and was overwhelmed. Now that I'm fluent in both languages tutoring people in Italian is my way to give back to someone who may be movng to Italy, studying aborad, going on vacation or simply wants to learn the language.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I always ask what their main goal is. Some people want to be fluent in a language while others want to be able to hold a conversation. Everyone is different and I focus on meeting the student's needs while still having a lesson plan to follow.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied in Italy being born and raised there.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you're hiring a tutor/teacher for anything, the best advice I can give is make sure you establish a connection early on with them. If you can't be comfortable with someone no matter how experienced or skilled they are, they are not the best fit for you.
