About
I am a mother-tongue English speaker from California, but I now live in Rome, Italy. I have high knowledge of English reading and writing, in addition to a high-level of the Italian language and culture.
I have experience teaching young children and middle school students English and Italian, but any age is perfect for learning. I have taught in California and Rome for the past several years, but strictly as a part-time tutor.
I would love to help you realize your language goals, be it English or Italian!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually gather their level of grammar and then create a speech/grammar plan based on that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a University student, studying in both English and Italian. I worked for a school teaching younger students during my studies.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge $20 an hour, but I am very flexible for negotiation.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I started part-time babysitting for a family of five children in Rome. After a couple of months, they asked me to help them with their English so I decided to start teaching English and Italian to others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students mother-tongue Spanish and French and helped teach them Italian, I have helped American students study for the SAT and improve their essay writing abilities, and I have taught Italian students English.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I have found that language teachers are often the most helpful when you sare a mother-tongue with that person. If someone from the USA is trying to learn Italian, an Italian might not understand how the other learner operates whereas an English speaker would better understand their difficulties.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There are a couple of things: what your level of the language is, what is your learning goal, and in what amount of time do you want to achieve your goal.
