A Chemistry Tutor
About
I am a patient and experienced tutor. I determine how my sessions will proceed based on my students needs. I always check in with my students and address any questions they have to the best of my abilities
I enjoy seeing students who were previously struggling gain a better understanding of the material. I like getting to know my students and their goals and helping them to work towards them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I almost always will schedule a meet and greet type session before the actual session so students and/or their parents and I can communicate. I can answer questions about myself and ask questions about the student and their needs. Otherwise I will ask the student a directly during a session about what class they are taking, what topics they need help with, and what they struggle with in general.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My sessions are usually around $25/hr. I am a bit flexible on the rate. I require payment after each lesson before I will conduct the next lesson.
Group lesson pricing will depend on the number of students that will be in the session.
How did you get started teaching?
I started in college as a side job and ended up enjoying it so I made it a full time job.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mainly I work with high school and college students but I have worked with middle school on occasion. I have worked with some students with learning disabilities and many adults who have gone back to college.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always make sure you are clear of the subject you need help with and what exactly you want from the tutor during the sessions. Especially look to make sure they tutor the specific chemistry that you are looking for help with
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about what exactly your goals are and what you would like to get done during the sessions. Where are you at in your course and how much time are you going to want to schedule
