About

I offer personalized educational opportunities based on the needs of my students. Depending on the situation, I can work online, coaching you through online school assignments, showing you how to find answers, or I can provide sample problems for us to explore.

I have worked with students at all levels. I tend to revert back to fundamentals to demonstrate the concept. I can also add the perspective of how the concept is used at higher levels to lend a sense of vision to the learning process.

My son is really enjoying his weekly sessions with Cary. She is very kind and patient and willing to help with anything needed on his part for his math. We’ve seen an improvement in his confidence and overall improvement in math with his teachers noticing as well :) Cant beat that!

Cary is kind, flexible, listening, and patient. I have worked with her from Trig through Calc II. She is great at reviewing old topics and can also introduce new ones.

Frequently asked questions

I listen to the student's needs and frustrations in their study. I validate their concerns and try to connect them with resources and study materials that match their unique situation. Often the start is to look at material the student is struggling with and go through the solution process to detrmine the point of difficulty. If any foundational understanding is missing, we might take a step back and camp out on that until the basics are fully understood. Looking ahead at the higher levels and reasons each concept is needed can also give some perspective.
