I tutor students grades 3 -12 and adult learners in ESL (English as a Second Language). My TEFL certificate and experience tutoring on the Off2Class platform have yielded a wide variety of learning methods that can be customized to each student's English language goals and level of mastery. I use assessment tools help personalize each lesson. My general approach is to encourage students to discover the dynamics of English on their own, with numerous prompting exercises. Images, including those from my AI program, games, gap-fills, writing, songs, props, along with more prescriptive exercises, help shape lessons to each student's goals. I generally lessons moving at a quick pace, unless students need more practice, and have a variety of alternate exercises ready to substitute in case some do not work out. Whether the goal is to learn English for academic work, for business and workplace communication, for travel inquiries, for passing the TOEFL exam, to feel more comfortable socially, or for another purpose, the journey should be rigorous but fun.
