Laura Darden

I homeschooled my own kids for 18 years, and then have worked as a private tutor for 5 years. I teach kindergarten through 12 and teach math, English, writing, history, and science. I have experience working with kids with ADHD, autism, and other learning challenges. I specialize is adjusting my teaching style to the needs of the student. I have learned methods to help kids learn how to write and overcome writers' block and become proficient writers. For math, kids can bring their assignments to me and I will explain the concepts and practice working problems until the students reaches mastery. It is my joy to help kids feel confident and love learning.
