While working on my MFA in Creative Writing, I ended up doing a work-stay with a wonderful family in Santa Paula. Originally meant just to help out around the farm, I ended up helping their daughter out with schoolwork often. I came back this year as they have transitioned to homeschooling their child and I have largely taken over organizing her studies and tutoring her through 5th grade level math and English, with plans to take over social studies and science as well.
