I am a graduate of University of California, Santa Barbara where I received a degree in Mathematics. In order to be able to do complex mathematics, I had to have a deep understanding of the fundamentals, which is something I can help your student with as well. I like to teach my students why they solve a problem a certain way, so they will not have to rely on memorization of a process. I have achieved great results with my current students. Not only have their grades improved, but they are now more confident in their own abilities.
I am very passionate about helping people understand math, because I know how important having a good teacher is, and it can completely change one's experience of math. I aim to make math less daunting, so your student never has to avoid pursuing an interest because they can't get through the math coursework.
