Science As Fun Tutoring
About
I specialize in teaching concepts with stories and fun facts that help students remember them. With a PhD in Chemistry and a passion for reading about discoveries and inventions, I have a unique method of providing analogies to remember concepts and derive equations.
I have been tutoring for 20+ years and the testimony from my students about how they have gained confidence warms my heart.
The 'aha' moment from my students!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Engage in small talk so they get comfortable in talking with me. Ask about the areas they need help with, and start with a story or an anecdote about the concept/scientist. This always engages the student immediately and they are curios/excited to learn more.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
PhD in Chemistry and several years of teaching/tutoring/mentoring experience. Work with students without asking direct questions or giving problems from the chapter, and they start connecting concepts to practical world.
How did you get started teaching?
I come from a family of passionate teachers. It's in the blood.
What types of students have you worked with?
Students from diverse background-- socio-economic, culture, environment, education, emotion, etc.
