Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Instead of a Halloween costume parade, I orchestrated a Literacy Parade. Students dressed up as a character from a story, or to represent the story. Since such costumes are not likely to be ready in the stores, students had to get creative. It was fun to see what they created.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
1. Connection: you must feel comfortable with your tutor.
2. Communication: parents and students need consiste feedback and progress checks.
3. Flexibility: this referes to the tutors ability to adjust lessons as they go. Often times, a tutor/teacher will stay on course with the planned lessons even though it is not working. It is critical that the tutor is aware of when to switch gears and adjust lessons accordingly.
