Anona's Tutoring

As a senior with 4+ years of tutoring experience, working with students from a variety of ages comes naturally to me. I start by getting to know each student individually and learn their learning styles so I can teach them to their full potential.

I love English, and I love to help other people fall in love with it as I did. I start by identifying a student’s current level, strengths, and areas that need improvement. From there, I tailor my explanations to match their way of thinking and learning style. A typical lesson plan will include starting out with a grammar warm up or a mini essay. Following this, we will go through practice questions and essay prompts, focusing on one English skill at a time.

I believe that effective teaching is more about real understanding and building long-term confidence, so I openly encourage questions at anytime.

My sessions are for students in any grade level, those who are preparing for the SAT, or people looking to brush up their English grammar.
