Rolando was great! Could not have passed the class without him. He is extremely willing to help and is very flexible and worked with my schedule. He was open to extra sessions and helped me understand concepts I was lost on. If I could give him 6 stars I would!

Frequently asked questions

Perferibly I'd like a student to reach out to me ahead of time with questions/concerns so I can be prepared with diffrent ways to explain answers

Bachlors of science in genetics from UC Davis with a minor in philosophy. A graduate certificate in biotechnology from Stanford University, and 4 years working experince in a molecular biology ag research lab

Started with friends needing help with math and science and from their I started tutoring others. I've worked with several programs and companies that offer tutoring services. I've also have many years of teaching experience as a martial arts instructor so I know the importance of breaking down details.

I've worked with all types of students from special needs to college students with academic education to physical education.

A teacher you can understand and most of all understands you and where you're at. A patient teacher is extremely important as well. A true knowledgeable teacher is a teacher that has a deep understanding of the subject and can explain it in many ways to anyone.

Understand what your need is. Understand where exactly your skills could use some help. If you don't know then spending enough time with a good teacher they will figure it out. If you have a specific question, understand what you don't understand. Meaning, explain to your teacher what you do understand first and then when you get to the point of confusion explain to your teacher what you've tried and thought about that doesn't work out.
