What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out where the student is struggling and what their expectations in learning are.
I work to explain difficult topics in ways that are understandable and relavent. With patience and supporting the student's desire to learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry.
Board Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists
Worked as a hospital microbiologist and general laboratory technologist in the hospital setting.
Worked for the GlaxoSmithKline Corporation in pharmaceuticals, especially antibiotics and other hospital associated drugs.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was invited to speak to a large group of seniors as a alumnus at Cal State University Stanislaus to discuss my career in healthcare. I was well received, and the inviting professors felt it was a very instructive talk and gave the students a good introduction into multiple possible careers in medicine
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
To not worry, and that I will be able to significantly increase their confidence and knowledge. I will be able to help them navigate to excel in their subject of study.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
To be open to discuss with me why they stuggle in learning and to let me know what type of learner they are. Do they do better with reading or with hearing subject material?
