I'm a well experienced tutor who fully understands that the needs of each and every student is different. No one student will learn the same way. I very much enjoy my work, honestly it's really fun! I never tire of helping students.
On-line tutoring/zoom sessions have become my preferred method of tutoring. Why? I'm able to service more students without driving from home to home, students can get help anytime, really anytime!
Origianlly from the Los Angeles area, I spent the majority of my time sitting on a freeway traveling to a home and/or a student would travel to my home/office.
Zoom sessions work as as well as in-person sessions, many say "it's like your right here Renee"

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what is giving them difficultly. I work with my students by working out problems WITH them. I make sure that my worksheets are clear with many steps written out so they can use them after the session is over. I also give my students my contact information so if they are ever stuck on homework they can get help asap. They don't need to wait until the next session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been working with students of all levels for well over twenty years...this experience has enabled me to help students very quickly as I'm very familiar with the textbooks and often the teachers they have. Test Prep is espcially rewarding as most of my students get top scores. The key to these top scores is plenty of practice, not tricks but just steady practice!

I very much miss in-person sessions but, given the current circumstances I’ve adapted and streamlined my delivery. In person one-on-one sessions are also available but, to accommodate the needs of a wide range of clients/families this arrangement has worked well for nearly everyone including younger students!
The sessions begin on the hour and run for 45 minutes. This gives us a fifteen minute window of “extra time” allowing for technical glitches and the freedom to enjoy a little conversation too!
Pricing is deliberately competitive giving more families the opportunity to benefit from private tutoring.
An individual session is $45
The 24 hour cancellation policy still applies, you must give me 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule otherwise you’re responsible for the payment of that session.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught little kids how to read and before long my math/science background came in handy. Siblings needed help and I was able to help them. I found myself in this line of work by accident yet I've been supporting myself and my family for a very long time. I feel lucky that I have work I enjoy.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every type and this is what keeps my work interesting. Some students have a high GPA and outrageously high test scores. Some of my students lack confidence and feel intimidated by fractions. Yet each and everyone is willing to learn.
