I have been in education for over 35 years. I am committed to helping students achieve at their highest levels. I have taught and tutored many different students, teachers, and school administrators and am familiar with many different types of educational methods. I work with each student to create a learning plan that will serve the student’s needs and achieve the student’s goals.
I enjoy seeing students grow academically and helping them accomplish their goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I interview each student to determine his/her areas of need. Together, we write both short-term and long-term goals, and I develop a tutoring and support plan to help the student meet those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a California Single Subject Credential in Life Science and was a classroom biology and chemistry teacher for just over 20 years. I supported and supervised high school science teachers as an instructional coordinator and administrator for 15 years and, therefore, am very familiar with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and effective science instructional strategies.
