Sara Pozil

Hello! My name is Sara, and I am a recent UCLA graduate. I got my bachelor's degree in Psychology, with a minor in Film & Television and Professional Writing. As a kid, I connected best with my teachers that were patient, understanding, and compassionate and I always strive to bring that when working with children, especially in academic settings. I have the most experience working with Elementary age kids - having been a babysitter/tutor since I was 11, volunteering in classrooms, and studying early psychological development in college.

When it comes to my methodology of teaching, I find that tailoring the lesson plan to the individual child's needs, strengths, and weaknesses is always more effective than following a strict set of rules. Especially when it comes to writing and art, allowing kids to be expressive and creative while still guiding the child towards the outline of the assignment is the most productive.
