About

I try my best to make my students passionate about gaining knowledge and improving themselves. When your child becomes genuinely interested in the subject, good grades will follow.

Watching my students improve over time gives me a sense of accomplishment and happiness. What I have noticed is that, as a tutor, I grow alongside my students. To achieve that with each and every student is what I strive for!

Gia A.

So far Ryan is the perfect match. My son understands his work and said he wished Ryan was his teacher because his teacher is so hard to understand. He is an A student and is good at match but for some reason his chemistry teacher has methods that just aren’t clicking. Thank God for Ryan.

Frequently asked questions

I make sure my student is comfortable with me, so I try to make the ambiance as friendly as possible. Then, I will evaluate my student's material and his/her strengths and weaknesses.

I graduated from UCLA in 2019 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. I spent the next year working as a Research Technician at UCLA under the guidance of Dr. Steven Jacobsen and Dr. Amander Clark. Currently, I am a first-year Ph.D. student studying molecular and cell biology at UCLA.

I also spent a year in Kumon teaching mathematics and reading to K-12 students.

I have worked students of different age groups, ethnicities, and dispositions throughout my time in Kumon - bright and shy, difficult and talkative, disciplined and sensitive, sharp and lazy, mature and diligent. You name it!

Find a tutor that understands your needs and what you are struggling with. Every tutor can give you practice problems, but not all can identify what needs to be done for maximizing results.

Have I tried my best in understanding what's presented in front of me? What isn't making sense in the big picture?
