Mentor To New Teachers And School Age Students

Hello, I taught middle school English, Social Studies, and AVID (Advancement Via Individual Termination) for thirty-three years. I also served as a mentor teacher for six years in the Mount Pleasant Eastside School District in San Jose, Ca. I have a Masters Degree in Education and a passion to help all students reach their potential. Recently retired, I still have the desire to teach and hope to help new students reach their potential. Since each student has their own learning styles and strengths, I also focus on building new skills to further enhance success. Application is the key to advance new learning. Each student will learn how to advance their skills in order to become more proficient. Students learn on different levels and time frames. I look forward to working with you and helping you enter a higher level of understanding in your subject of choice: History, Writing, Reading, and related subject matter.
