Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by asking a student what they are struggling with in school and have them attempt what they are struggling with me guiding them through the process. I then will explain what is tripping them up, and then drill what they are struggling with.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Nope! I am pretty negotiable for pricing, however I do require a minimum of 16 dollars per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
In high school I figured I could use my skills to help my friends and peers out
What types of students have you worked with?
High school students, mostly, although I have tutored a middle schooler
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Testing negative for everyone's favorite virus
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Practice what you're studying outside of the classroom/when your tutor is gone! An extra 10 or so minutes of working on something you're struggling with in math goes miles. I didn't realize this actually worked until my junior year in high school. Trust your annoying math teacher on this one!
