What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After making contact with the student, I prefer to set up an online meeting - either through Zoom or Google Hangouts.
In the first meeting, I will show the client a unique tutoring plan that works with their specific needs.
I will also immediately start working with the student to cater to their tutoring and educational needs.
I prefer students who are willing and dedicated to learn and grow, and I prefer consistency and constant communication with all my clients - I am always flexible when clients can inform me in advance!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a current student at UC DAVIS, with a 3.90 GPA and work experiences at KPMG, several Data Software companies, and have years of tutoring experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge between $15 and $20 per hour. I am willing to work out pricing whenever the first meeting is held.
I charge higher prices for more advanced concepts.
AP Subject help and SAT Prep are priced at $20.
How did you get started teaching?
I worked with my highschool's National Honor Society in 2018. I was selected for this club based on my GPA in highschool.
I worked with a diverse group of high-school students who were taking courses that I had done well in as a freshman/sophomore. I increased my student's grades by an average of 15%.
I have also previously worked on tutorfly.com, care.com, and done private in-house tutoring (this was before the COVID-19 pandemic).
