English Tutor

As a tutor, I approach each task or assignment differently. Every student has a unique writers voice, through varying characteristics, background, and interests. I prioritize maintaining this personal voice and writing style while offering my advice and assistance. A typical lesson plan would begin by understanding the students concerns about their assignment, wants, and needs from the session. Once I've been able to assess the needs of the student, I would be able to begin offering assistance on the task at hand. My primary method to strong writing is beginning with a clear and supportive outline. From there, constructing the rest of the essay comes much easier to the writer. The lessons are open to all high school and college students with all types of writing. The writing subjects I have the most experience with are in creative, analytical, political, and philosophical writing.

I have vast experience with english and literature. Most of my studies as a student have involved all types of writing, furthering my experience and practice with the subject. Mistakes and academic setbacks taught me critical lessons, ultimately giving me the greatest insight on crafting strong, clear, and concise essays. I am a political science student at Santa Clara University, and have performed well in all my english based courses. I have worked as a tutor for four years, specializing in english. I am charismatic, efficient, and flexible to all student needs.
