All tutors have at least one MA in the humanities or the social sciences and are pursuing the doctorates at UCI. They TA at the university and have extensive training for a certificate of teaching excellence that we should receive by the end of the academic year.
One of the instructors has been teaching at the university level for 6 years and had volunteered to teach asl english and math for many years.
My degrees: I am currently third year as a PhD student in Anthropology and Critical Theory at UCI. I graduated from High School graduate with an IB Diploma. I then received a BA in Sociology/anthropology with an emphasis in communications and a minor in political science (2005-2008). In 2011-12, I completed an MA in critical media and cultural studies (Distinction) from SOAS in London.
