About
I look forward to teaching about American history as it has developed over time and how it has helped to build modern day America. Please contact me if you have an interest in enhancing your understanding of American history. For now, I am pursuing a history degree for transfer before continuing on to a bachelor's program and going into law later on once my degree has been completed. All through elementary and high school, I had a tremendous passion for history. To give you an overview of my personal achievements, I earned bronze and silver honors in middle school before earning a Gold Merit for the State of California alongside a High Honors for high school.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
- Please let me know ahead of time what textbook you're using before I start tutoring services so I know what lessons to prep ahead of time based on the textbook you're using. :)
- Students are expected to bring their homework and textbooks every tutoring session, if they have any quizes or tests please bring those along as well so we can go over scores and how to improve on any weak spots.
- In order to ensure students have a clearer understanding of American history, I will integrate World history into our American history course alongside World Geography.
- During each session, students will be given two worksheets to complete outside of tutoring, with a maximum of 30 minutes of work needed per sheet, so that each student has a complete understanding of their current lesson and prepares for their upcoming lesson through the second worksheet.
- World history and of course American history will be incorporated in mini-games to help extend your knowledge! Learning games have been proven to be effective for memorizing material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- I have currently a GED from Highschool
- Right now I'm Currently working on my History AA-T at DVC so I can transfer my degree to a University later on.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate will be $35 for each hour every Friday, 2 hours maximum of tutoring services (1 hour accepted per student), make sure your student arrives early to their session since it will be back to back and held at the San Ramon Library-Contra Costa Library, I can start tutoring lessons between 1:30-4:30 pm. Students in grades 6-8 will be accepted for tutoring services
