Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The key points are:
-FOCUSING ON THE RESULT! That is the ultimate goal!
-meeting the student in order to clarify both the situation and needs
-creating an agreed learning schedule for the future
-working with the student as frequently as needed
-feedbacking and checking the progress at every lesson
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have recently finished teaching Master level mathematics to a Mathematics university professor. In addition to that, I started teaching 8 years ago with a Middle School student for over a year and supporting him from 4/10 grade until almost the excellence. From that moment on, I have never stopped. I also gained experience with all types of students up to University level and beyond.
With all my students, we have covered detailed aspects of the subjects as well as soft skills like planning and time management, study skills, and pressure control and concentration.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I want my students to get the best experience possible. I focus on the quality of teaching.
After achieving three degrees and with 8 years of experience, I have understood what is the right price for each type of student and subject.
How did you get started teaching?
Long time ago, I had the opportunity to replace a friend that was helping a student twice a week and, after the first session, I immediately understood that I loved tutoring!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience with the widest range of students. In fact, I have tutored students from elementary school up to university professors.
Also, I'm determined to gain experience by tutoring even more students!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Around a year ago I have co-founded a startup called REOSPACE that operates in the space sector. This is probably the most challenging experience yet!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always look for experienced tutors: this will help guarantee that they know how to help you in the best way possible.
Select tutors with a very diverse background both academically and in the tutoring itself: this will promote an optimal adaption of the tutor on your needs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is my problem? It can be academic, in soft-skills, in motivation and so on.
Why a tutor could help me overcome this problem?
