UC Grad Tutoring
About
English is my passion. I love reading, writing, public speaking, linguistics -- I even love grammar! Just as importantly, I love to pass all knowledge and skills I have acquired on to others. For more than 30 years, I have taught English skills in several countries to young children, college students (including at the graduate level), and to older business people. Although I also teach history and other humanites subjects, I specialize in tests from the ISEE to the CSET, which is the test for prospective English teachers. I would love to help you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, we discuss your goals and needs. For example, before studying for the SAT, we would explore your desired major and university. This may impact whether you take the SAT or the ACT, or exactly what strengths and weaknesses you should focus on based on your feelings and some preliminary testing. Then we would structure a program best suited for your individual requirements, including study habits and availability for lessons. As we continue, we can make adjustments appropriate to your actual results and progress. You are the client, and your success is what matters.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in English & Comparative Literature from UC San Diego, and a Master's in Education from Chapman University.
