About

Hi! My name is Taylor and I have worked in elementary schools for over 10 years. I currently work as a special eduation teaching associate. I have many years of both general and special education.

I hold a BA in psychology and 3 years of experience working with children with learning, social and emotional differences. I have 2 years of experience teaching the Orton-Gillingham curriculum.

I have taught all elementary subjects for 2nd-5th grade, including math, language arts, history, science, writing and reading.

Hope to connect with you soon!

I love what I do because teaching is always different. Everyday is new, and everyday I get to learn more about myself and my students!

Taylor is a fantastic tutor!
She knows how to help students who need support with reading, writing or spelling. Her years of experience with 3rd-5th grade students has provided her with an understanding of grade level content and instruction. She engages students with games and activities to support their learning. Even if the session is on zoom, she will help students connect to the joy of learning. In these unprecedented times Taylor is the best person to provide extra support for your child.

Taylor is very patient and kind, and you can tell she really care about her students. She uses many different methods to teach, so if one way is confusing she will work with the student to find a method that makes sense to them.

I worked with Taylor for 2 years in an elementary special education classroom, and she is fantastic. From social emotional to academic support for our students, she always knew the professional and appropriate steps to take in every situation. From reading support to science fair projects to cooking class, she has worked with every subject and covered the material in a meaningful and thoughtful manner. Parents and students were always grateful for her hard work in and out of the classroom. I wish I could work with her forever!

Frequently asked questions

I love to have a meet and greet with new students, to gain familiarity not only for myself but for the students and their families. This session will be half of the price of a typical session and helps to gain a trusting tutoring relationship.

I have worked with elementary students for over 10 years and currently work with special education students in the Bay Area.

I charge a $35/per hour per student flat rate no matter the subject or grade. I teach full time so I am available most weekdays from 3-7pm.

There are many teachers in my familiy. Teaching was a natural next step for me post-college and after having worked many years with children in summer camps and summer school programs.

I have worked with students of all ages from preschool to highschool with my focus being elementary school aged students.

I have many years of experience working with special education students, specifically students with learning differences such as dsylexia, dyscalulia, dysgraphia, ADHD, verbal processing disorders, speech delays, memory disorders and autism.

I would always advise meeting your tutor before hand. I helps to know what specifically you are looking to be tutored in and if there are many things, what you would like to focus on first.
