The Python Corner
About
These classes are CLASSES ARE FOR GRADES 6-8 and for AGES 10-12. These classes are for the absolute beginner with no to little knowledge of Python. By the time you walk away from the class, you will have a firm understanding of Python. I teach only online classes. My classes will be conducted on an online meeting using Google Meet. I use Google Classroom to post assignments, and maybe even homework! The classes will be very enjoyable. I will engage students with videos, hands-on projects, and by the end, he/she will be able to create multiple games including Hangman, Tic Tac Toe, and even create a website!
My service is great and I love doing the work I do. I love helping young students learn about a subject they find interesting and it's very fun interacting with students with games and projects.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Generally, I will have incoming students take a quiz so that I can check what they understand so far. If the student already has basic knowledge on Python, then I can adjust my lessons to include more challenging topics. I will discuss what times work and we can get started from there! I will generally start with a chapter reading, watch some videos, take some notes, then finish it off with a Kahoot or some game. At the end of the week, I will assign a project for them to complete and show me for the next week. For example, I may tell them to design a Tic-Tac-Toe game based on the concepts we learned that week.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied Python for three years and I took the PCEP - Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The first class is free but after that, I charge 10$ per class. The class is one hour and I conduct lessons three times a week. I can extend the number of classes per week if you wish.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching students from my neighbourhood and the kids loved it. They loved my teaching methods and they picked up on Python very quickly after that.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students from ages 10 - 13. Most students come to me with a basic understanding of the topics of Python but I am happy to help those that need some more support.
