Move The Brain ESL Tutoring
About
I have been teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language since 2001. I began as a volunteer instructor at the Northern Virginia Literacy Council where I taught evening group classes to working adults.
In 2003, I moved to Shanghai, China and taught busness writing and communciations to working professionals. I was also an English content writer for online learning at IBM Shanghai.
Since returning Stateside in 2006, I have continued to volunteer through local community libraries, serving as a teacher for ESL/EFL Conversation Clubs.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University and a master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida. I am currently a full-time real estate agent in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I am passionate about education and advocacy. I help adults improve their vocabulary and learn common idioms so they feel more comfortable and confident with conversational English.
