Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Message, email, text or call me with a short message informing me what you need help with. I may ask a few questions to make sure we are a good fit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated high school from Bullard high school in 2016, and I'm finishing up at San Jose State with a major in Sociology minoring in Child Development. I've been a nanny for 6 years, while also doubling as their tutor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I dont have a standard pricing system, the price depends on what the student is needing help on/ how long/ days per week.
How did you get started teaching?
I first started off as a nanny, then I started teaching and tutoring them on school work as needed.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with preschool students, all the way to high school students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise a student to figure out what they need the most help on, maybe make a list #1-5, starting at most important/ what you need help on the most. Providing a short list of what you need will help a teacher determine if you would be a good fit.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would talk to teachers about their relationships with other students, do the students come back and want to meet again after the first session? Or do they usually find someone else.
