About
I am an American and native English speaker but have spent ample time abroad in Mainland China deeply studying the language and culture. I most recently lived in Chengdu, Sichuan, China from 2017-2019. I participated in a Master's Degree program with native Chinese students so I have a strong and natural grasp of the language.
I am absolutely in love with language learning and I cherish the ability to share my passion with those interested!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After a general introduction, I will conduct an evaluation of their language skills (insight from parents encouraged). According to their problem areas, I will develop a curriculum to strengthen their skills. This includes reading and analyzing passages with specific grammar patterns or vocabulary, having free conversation time, and writing except uses.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied mandarin for over 7 years and have a year experience as a mandarin tutor and two years experience as an English teacher.
