About
I'm Jamison! I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and I also have a Master's in Education. I have a tutoring experience of 7+ years.
I've always been fascinated by Human Health and Science from an early age which prompted me to study Nursing at the university. Apart from practicing I enjoy providing assistance to students with problems in Science courses. I've assisted students with Biology, Chemistry, Nursing, and Nutrition and Dietetics. I also worked with students to develop skills in Anatomy and Physiology courses. Additionally, I held weekly tutor sessions, study sessions for tests, and occasional private sessions.
I attended grammar and essay building workshops designed for tutors to use in student meetings. Worked one-on-one with individual students as well as small groups of students working to build academic papers at all stages of the writing process. Students that sought aide in the Writing Center were from various points in their academic career.
Assisted students individually with writing difficulties
Provided individual tutoring assistance to students concerning the writing process, including establishing a thesis, topic sentences, types of essays, etc.
At the University, I noted that the classes I treasured most weren't necessarily the topics I was interested in the most. Rather, it was the professors who made the classes amusing through their engaging yet comprehensive lessons. They were individuals who were willing to go an extra mile for the sake of ensuring that no student was being left behind. I make an effort to bring this knowledge to my tutoring approach and ensure that my students get the best learning experience. I utilize lesson plans in which I normally introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then teach the material. I have a great passion in my tutoring practice and I strive to meet every student's individual needs. Seeing my student's happily excel in their studies gives me immense satisfaction.
