Isabella Guzman
About
Hello, my name is Isabella. I have always loved language and interested in travel. Being fortunate enough to grow up across different countries I learned skills alongside the languages of my life. I was born in Colombia, grew up in Canada speaking French and moved to the USA as a teenager. Having the ability to speak many languages has allowed me to see and experience different cultures and most importantly communicate in a heartfelt manner. I have connected with so many different people and have friendships all over the world so far in 33 countries. I owe my gratitude to the humbling and incredible process of learning how to speak to one another... and in another tongue! I have experience with children ( I was once a nanny) and can incorporate singing and movement (I am also a yoga teacher) to create an environment that cultivates playfulness and exploration. I have experience tutoring children of all ages as well as working with adults. I can customize professional industry specific teaching curriculums or with ease switch to a more organic emergent method. Looking forward to learning with you!
Sharing my passion of language which literally and figuratively expands your horizons! Once you know how to express yourself in other languages you can listen to and tell stories. In my opinion stories is what brings us together and links the present to the past and will eventually write our future. I find that to be amazing and to know I am part of a job that allows me to give a voice to the voiceless, broaden horizons and connect us to our roots.. I know my work is important beyond being enjoyable.
