My son started with Algebra I, then extended into the summer with Geometry and Chemistry to prepare for the upcoming school year and is continuing as a sophomore. My son enjoys working with Andrew, which says a lot about his ability to engage and create a positive learning experience. As a parent, I appreciate Andrew's patience and flexibility with our ever-changing schedules." Read more

Hi, I'm Tifany! I recently graduated from UC Berkeley with my Master's in Software Engineering. I previously got my BA from UC Berkeley double majoring in Applied Math and Molecular and Cellular Biology. I've had previous experience tutoring Math and Biology as well as general SAT-test prep. Andrew has been great to work with. Andrew is help my daughter in IB Math Applications. He has really connected well with her. He has an easy going style but can explain hard and complicated problems in way that has help not only with her grade ( D to B) but most of her confidence. She went from have a constant high stress level and dreading her class, to feeling confident. I won't say she loves her class but with Andrew's help she is enjoying it more and her stress levels are low.

We just moved to the US from Korea and the change has been very tough for my kids. They are not familiar with the US school system and falling behind. I saw their confidence draining. But all of that changed when SoFlo came into the picture. To start, they gave a free assessment so they could figure out where my children were struggling. From there we had weekly tutoring sessions that my kids actually enjoy. I am seeing their confidence return and life in the US get better for them

I had the pleasure of working with Aparna while finishing up my undergraduate studies in Biology. Whether it was questions about murine anatomy, cellular signaling, or navigating graduate school applications, Aparna was an asset as a mentor and tutor. Her patience was appreciated as I learned many of the basic lab techniques I still use today. Not only did she teach me these complex methods and made sure I felt comfortable with the technical aspects, she always ensured I understood the underlying concepts and theories. I was truly lucky to have a resource like her while preparing for graduate school entrance exams and starting my scientific career. Throughout my career I have repeatedly used what she taught me, both in academia and (biotech) industry. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for scientific tutoring or mentorship.
