I am a passionate, recent bachelor of fine arts grad currently studying to become an educator in California. As a recent grad, I feel I can bring a lot to the table especially in regards to connecting with students and understanding studying techniques.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to assess a student's needs and strengths so I know where to begin instruction. Next, the student and I will collectively build a learning plan around those strengths and needs. Next, I like to asses the students knowledge. I give students an assessment to evaluate their skills and understanding of the subject in relation to their grade level. Lastly, I believe that finding the student's interests and incorporating them into their course work not only helps make the student feel comfortable, but it allows me to learn about what motivates them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelor is Arts degree in Fine Art, an Associate of Arts degree in Visual Communications, and lastly, an Associate or Arts degree in General Studio Art. I have been working in the design and art industry for over 10 years.
