Computer Science Tutor!
About
All of our tutors have studied Computer Science at UC Berkeley (the #1 Computer Science institution in the world!) and have excelled in all their Computer Science classes. We teach a variety of things ranging from various language (JAVA, HTML, CSS, Javascript, C, Kotlin, Python) to types of programming (Android SDK, Web Development, Backend, Machine Learning).
If you are interested in just basic Computer Science concepts or more complex things like how to build a mobile application, we're the place to go!
If there was anything equivalent to a "superpower" in the real world, it would be the ability to code. With code, you can process billions of bytes of data, launch rockets, build websites, create companies, operate robots, and so much more.
Computer Science is essentially a gateway into so many spectacular opportunities and that is why I love it so much!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I work with a new student (as well as their parent, if applicable) to see what their motivation is for partaking in this tutoring. After I figure out what their goals are, I make an action plan for how to achieve that goal within a set time span. For example, if a student wants to learn the basics of JAVA / Object Oriented Programming in 6 months, I would set up a 6 month plan, with 2 hour periods per week, to ensure that they know all the fundamentals of OOP/JAVA by the end of the 6th month.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- Studied Computer Science at UC Berkeley and got A/A+'s in most of the classes taken (Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Data Structures, Machine Learning, etc)
- Previous Software Engineer at Lyft, Yelp, and Nextdoor.
- Started two venture backed businesses as a technical co-founder
- Attend 65+ Hackathons around the world and won awards at almost half of them
- Built dozens of apps and websites as side projects and as a freelancer
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50+ for more complex courses (machine learning, mobile development, etc)
$35+ for more fundamental courses (JAVA, Python, etc).
Pricing is flexible based on the circumstances of the student.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a tutor in college and have been doing so for 2.5 years.
