Sarah's English Asisstance
About
I would prefer if the students interested reach out to me by email, and I will tell them personally what they want to know.
I enjoy helping learners to succeed, I enjoy helping them achieve other goals by first assisting them with improving their English communication skills. If they want to do well in America, it is important that they can express their ideas clearly.
I focus on making sure the students are getting their exact ideas across, and fixing grammar in speaking or writing.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I need to understand what type of learning method works best for them, and at what level of proficiency they are in in terms of the English Language. We will begin from there, and acquire a comfortable rhythm to how each session is done. Please tell me what your goals are for these tutoring sessions, what you hope to improve.
I ask that students, who are interested, see me at least twice, or thrice a week because I do not think once a week is enough to actually really solidify any information into the student's mind. This is, of course, only if the sessions are short one hour sessions. Either the sessions are at least 2 or 3 hours long, or we meet more than once a week for one hour long sessions. These are my conditions.
If you come to me, I'll tell you where I'll meet you. If I come to you, please make sure it's a public location. It needn't be far away, but it needs to be public for safety reasons. Anywhere that is quiet enough to conduct the tutoring sessions. I would prefer the student travels to me.
The first session, I won't charge you anything, and you haven't hired me yet. We should meet in person, and see if this will work out before we start working together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a student in the TESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Master's Program, so I have some training in the arts of teaching English to foreign learners.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I haven't figured out a pricing, but I believe $16.00 an hour if the student travels to me, and $18 to $20 dollars an hour if I travel to the student is a fair pricing.
How did you get started teaching?
I haven't really started, but I hope my lack of actual experience would not deter you.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please be attentive, and please be open to verbally communicating in English if you wish to improve your speaking skills. You have to be willing to practice with me, if you want to improve.
