Spanish Lessons
About
Hi!
Spanish is my first language, as I grew up in Mexico. Literature is one of my passions, so I majored in it. But life directed my professional career to some other adventure (International Logistics). So, I decided to offer Spanish tutoring to those interested, whether it be for a course, to adquire a new professional skill or as a hobby! I believe language is a door to exploring new cultures and I would be happy and honored to take that journey with you.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would like to understand their objective in order to ensure their success. I can prepare material for them as needed or can help them through material they are already tackling through a different course.
Also, am a firm believer that being exposed to the language as much as possible is ultimately the best method. So, I enjoy chatting and can hope you'd like it and benefit from it as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors in Spanish Literature. I do not have any teaching certifications. My approach is very casual and will tailor to student's needs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge hourly, but we can discuss if there is an interest for a long term tutoring program.
How did you get started teaching?
Ever since I was in college on the East coast, tutoring made sense to me. This was also a way for me to feel close to home while being geographically so far. I enjoy sharing my language with anyone interested.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mainly adults. But am open and feel confident tutoring younger students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love to run and be outdoors hiking. I was just at the Grand canyon and am looking forward to my 3rd half marathon in March 2023 at Zion.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It is important to feel comfortable with your tutor. I am very easy to talk to.
