I LOVE to teach, and watch my students learn. I retired from Sweetwater High School, where I taught Chemistry and Biology. One if the most satisfying things about my job was to have had students who pursued science.

I make math learning fun and interesting for the learners. I instill my passion of my math into the lessons, which makes my tutoring different than others. I like knowomg that the information that I portray to my students helps them not just in school, but to be our generation’s spacemen, scientists, and mathematicians.

Hi! Spanish is my first language, as I grew up in Mexico. Literature is one of my passions, so I majored in it. But life directed my professional career to some other adventure (International Logistics). So, I decided to offer Spanish tutoring to those interested, whether it be for a course, to adquire a new professional skill or as a hobby! I believe language is a door to exploring new cultures and I would be happy and honored to take that journey with you.

Reviews for San Diego Spanish lessons

Erica J.
I started taking Spanish lessons one year ago with Silvia Aguilar at LanguageConvo. I take a half hour lesson every Tuesday morning. after 52 half hour lessons (26 total hours) at a ridiculously low cost, I now am about 50 - 60% fluent, and I look forward to every Tuesday morning. Silvia is not only an excellent teacher... she is funny and lovely. We speak only Spanish about all things happening in our respective lives, cultures and even some politics. I would highly recommend LanguageConvo to anyone interested in learning a new language. Mucho gusta!
