I graduated from Stevens Tech in 2020 with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management. For the past 10 years, I've tutored students in topics covering all areas of math, science, and engineering. This includes hosting large review sessions before exams in college at which attendance was regularly over 150 students. I'm passionate about helping students understand why solutions are the way that they are, rather than just having the memorize and regurgitate steps.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For math or science classes, I like to start by watching the student work through example problems or homework problems and helping out when needed. This helps me get a gauge for the student's strengths and where they're struggling so I know where we can focus out time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For two years after college, I worked at a non-profit company that coached and advised students in higher education in leadership and personal development. I gained a lot of experience putting together creative workshops and educational materials that helped students learn by putting things in terms that make sense to them.
