About
Hello. I have been an educator for 20 years. I am a tutor for virtually any student in grades K-12, ASVAB, SAT, and GED. I work to help any High School, Middle School or Elementary student who either needs extra assistance or desires private tutoring in order to get ahead. I am able to teach almost any subject, depending upon the grade level. Helping other people has always been a major passion of mine, and I am very pleased that I have the opportunity to pass on my knowledge and skills to others!
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in a Psychology, with a special focus on how people learn and acquire new information. I have also attended many graduate seminars focusing on education, which have provided me with a strong understanding on how to tutor students most effectively. Since completing my schooling, I have spent nearly two decades as an educator, and I have tutored students in every grade from K-12, as well as some college students.
The subjects I teach are dependent upon the grade level of the student. For High School students and younger, I offer tutoring services in Reading, Language Arts, English, Essay Writing, Social Studies, History, Geography, Psychology, Biology, Chemistry and Test Preparation. Some of my biggest accomplishments as a tutor have been helping High School students achieve high scores on important standardized tests, such as the GED, SAT / ACT, ASVAB, and helping them get accepted into their top college choices.
For Middle School students and younger, I will also teach Math, including basic Algebra and Geometry. Additionally, I will tutor College Students who need assistance in Psychology or general Essay Writing. In general, I feel pretty comfortable tutoring almost any sort of subject to any sort of student, so please do not hesitate to ask me if you need tutoring in a subject that I did not list. As long as I have access to a textbook and online resources, I can usually help a student learn new material quite effectively.
My favorite aspect of tutoring is watching my students succeed and overcome obstacles. I find it extremely rewarding whenever a student tells me how they improved their grades, aced a test, passed the GED, got into the military, or got accepted into their favorite college. Moments like these are one-of-kind, and there’s no better feeling than knowing the student I helped accomplished their goals. As a tutor, I do everything I can to ensure the success of my students.
