Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I work with the student for one or two lessons to get an understanding of how they learn. I will then adapt my approach to personalize it to the needs of the student. I always work out all the problems myself, but I will let the student make an attempt and interject as needed before I share the answers with them. I put in time outside the sessions to make sure I am as prepared as possible and that our sessions can be productive and insightful for the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
How did you get started teaching?
I have always wanted to be a professor, and I have actively sought opportunities to tutor and improve my teaching abilities to prepare myself for this career.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from middle schoolers to college grads preparing for the MCAT.
