About
I am a student in High School who has gone through the American french educational system. I went to a bilingual school for nine years and I can provide the best and most valuable insight for learning french faster. I passed the AP French test with a 5 and got platinum on the Grand Concours. But most importantly I am a student, I can help you with problems we both can relate too. With my french knowledge, you will be able to apply it to other languages. For example, I myself tested into AP Spanish Language and Literature without a background in Spanish. I also am learning Portuguese currently. With my French skills you will see the world differently and you will learn about french culture.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I need to meet and learn about them personally. Then I ask what level of french or any other subject they are currently studying. From there I plan a tutoring session and arrange a meeting through zoom.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a Sophomore at Steele Canyon High School but I am also dually enrolled at Grossmont and Cuyamaca College. Currently, I am pursuing four associates degrees and a certificate. I am studying Mechanical Engineering, CADD Technology, Graphic Design, Digital Arts, and I will be earning my certificate in Computer Science. I have a perfect 4.0 in college, I am hoping to graduate top of the class with Valedictorian honors. I also am a member of the PTK honors society at Grossmont and Cuyamaca college. In terms of High School, I graduated freshman year with a 4.75 GPA and I am on track to graduate top of my class.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge a little bit more for my lessons due to the fact that I am a student and I offer more understanding and better tutoring than an adult who is out of touch with the current school system.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started tutoring through Grossmont College, I was tutoring in the french department. I noticed a gap between High school AP/IB classes and community college classes that teach the same subject. I noticed that AP/IB classes overcomplicate all the subjects when it is not necessary whereas the community college courses just simply had better teaching. So I would like to take a different approach to both college and high school level material.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all students. I have aided College students in four-year universities and I have aided Junior college students. I have also mostly aided High School level and below students. I have also aided teachers to plan their lessons and make their content more relevant and interesting.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event that I am fond of is the return of Sports such as baseball and the NBA. I am also fond that there is a possibility that Khabib and GSP might fight.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would make sure that the student knows to establish a positive connection with their teacher before learning the material. That way the student isn't frustrated when trying to learn the material that he/she isn't interested in. Also that the student should try to find a tutor they can relate to so that the lessons aren't awkward and boring.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I don't personally have a problem with a student asking me any questions. I am not a school teacher, I want my students to have a safe space where they feel like they can learn the information stress-free. If establishing a personal connection is the way to do that than I personally don't care.
