Independent French Tutor

My name is Amanda and I am a French honors graduate passionate about tutoring and helping teenagers and adults learn French and become more confident in their language skills. Whether I am teaching French to beginners or working with a middle or high-school student to complement traditional classroom learning, I thrive on sharing my passion and extensive knowledge of the French language and culture with my students. . I am committed to tailoring my lessons to each student’s needs and goals and I strive to help each student with their pronunciation, oral and written comprehension skills, translation, and more. I have over 3 years of experience living and working in France and have had a variety of educational and work experiences that have prepared me for this role as a successful tutor. I have studied extensively, worked as a Kindergarten, middle and high school teaching assistant and daycare supervisor, preschool French teacher, administrative assistant, translator, and as a tutor for French 1 and 2 and for adults of different levels. I am competent, conscientious, patient, caring, honest, and friendly. I am willing to take on new students of different levels and backgrounds. As a proofreading tutor, I have experience in editing students’ essays and writing assignments and for editing school administration documents. I have a natural knack for grammar, punctuation, writing, spelling, and translation from French to English.
