To date, I have taught all grade levels from elemetary students to college undergraduate students and have helped students reach their goals both in specific tests and general academic improvement.
Currently, I work in the research field for new therapeutics in the pharmaceutical industry and am always happy to answer questions for students interested in science and medical careers.
I enjoy helping my students better understand topics they are learning and enabling them to reach their educational goals.
I understand that with the recent coronavirus situation, many students are not getting the necessary assistantce they need and hope to help so that they can make a smooth transition back to school once the situation improves.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually start by asking the student what areas they have trouble understanding and going over recent assignments together with them to gauge where they are at. I then proceed to either teach or review the necessary subjects and help them with their assignments or create new problems for them to solve. I try to personalize the curriculum to the student to best fit with their study style and work to reinforce the material so they can feel confident that they have a solid grasp of the lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have previously volunteered in the past to teach students from elementrary through high school in all subjects with an emphasis in STEM courses. In addition to course material, I have also covered standardized tests and writing assignments. Most recently, I have worked as a teaching assistant in several courses at UC San Diego including biology and Japanese.
