Jack's Advising And Tutoring
About
Hi there, my name is Jack, and I’m a second-year medical student at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. I graduated from Georgetown University in 2020 with a B.S. in Biology as well as a minor in Spanish. Although I loved living in Washington, DC, I missed the California sun, which is why I am grateful to have had the opportunity to come back and complete my medical training at UCSD.
I have been tutoring every since I was in 8th grade, when I was asked to help tutor a few struggling 2nd graders. I soon gained a passion for teaching, so I continued tutoring throughout high school and college. I have experience tutoring all ages and many subjects, including all of the sciences, math, history, English, Spanish, and more.
Science has always been my passion! In high school, I took AP Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. In college, I majored in Biology, and as a pre-medical student, I also took general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. As a medical student, I have passed every block of my systems-based curriculum and am confident in my ability to teach about the pathophysiology of every body system, as well as microbiology and pharmacology.
I took the MCAT in the Spring of 2019 and received a 521 (99th percentile), with the following subsection scores: Chem/Phys 129, CARS 131, Bio/Biochem 129, Psych/Soc 131. When I applied to medical school, I was accepted to 7 of the 8 medical schools I applied to, and I really enjoy helping students prepare for interviews of their own.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
